Wind Turbine
The mission of the Bridge Tech and Wind Energy Project (BWEP) is to promote and develop renewable energy for The Bridge organization, while also providing practical career experience for middle, high and college students. BWEP currently in the planning stage of the design, marketing, building and distribution of wind energy and energy education. We welcome anyone to participate in our group and seek to collaborate with other student groups, faculty, companies, university programs and community members. The Main Objectives of BWEP are to assess the wind resource at low cut in speed, promote the use of wind near the Bridge facility as a sustainable energy resource, install a wind generating capacity at and near Bridge Tech, and to explore methods for measuring and calculating wind speeds aloft, at altitudes where a commercial size turbine might not operate.
